Brookfield Place transforms Wynyard into a world-class urban precinct in the heart of Sydney’s CBD. The project’s centrepiece is a 27-level PCA Premium Grade, 6 Star Green Star, and 5.5 Star NABERS Energy rated commercial tower with a total net leasable area of approximately 59,000 sqm, and efficient floor plates of up to 2,500 sqm.

It provides world-class facilities, amenities and finishes, setting a new standard for the workplace. The building's commercial tenants include NAB, Allianz, Moelis, Brookfield, Hub, and Clifford Chance. The project includes the restoration of Shell House – breathing new life into this historic Sydney landmark and creating 7,700 sqm of boutique office space and 1,500 sqm of high-end retail space.

The restoration of Shell House required the internal structure to be progressively demolished and rebuilt to retain one of the largest heritage facades in the southern hemisphere. Essence role as Independent Certifier was to determine key time, cost, compliance and completion matters under numerous contractual documents, ensure project risks were identified, and act in regard to matters disputed by the parties.
