Brookfield Place

Brookfield’s development of Brookfield Place transforms Wynyard into a world-class urban precinct in the heart of Sydney’s CBD.

The project’s centrepiece is a 27-level premium grade commercial tower with a total net leasable area of approximately 59,000 sqm, offering world-class facilities, amenities and finishes, setting a new standard for workplace accommodation. The office tower has premium grade floor space with large, efficient floor plates of up to 2,500 sqm. The building’s commercial tenants include NAB, Allianz, MA Financial, Brookfield, and Hub.

The building has market-leading sustainability ratings and certifications including 5.0 Star NABERS Energy Rating, 4.5 Star NABERS Water Rating, 5.5 Star Indoor Environment Quality Rating, and 6.0 Star Green Star Design rating.

The project includes the restoration of Shell House, breathing new life into a historic Sydney landmark and creating 7,700 sqm of boutique office space and 1,500 sqm of retail.

Australia’s top property honour was awarded to Brookfield Place Sydney, named the Rider Levett Bucknall Australian Development of the Year 2023 for its transformational mixed-use development combining heritage preservation with a rejuvenated transport hub, next-generation commercial and retail space.

Our role

Essence’s role as Independent Certifier was to determine the key time, cost, compliance and completion matters under numerous contractual documents and act in regard to matters disputed by the parties.
