Every Essence office manages its business with consideration of reducing environmental impact and when selecting offices, we ensure the building owners align with our environmental goals. We encourage employees to use reusable containers and have a robust recycling program.
We practise responsible supply chain management. That means when selecting suppliers & consultants, we ensure they uphold environmental & societal values that address global issues such as climate change, water security, deforestation, human rights, fair labour practices & corruption.
We have donated more than $130,000 of revenue to charities such as the Property Industry Foundation, Housing All Australians, and Vinnies since the inception of Essence in 2016. We support team or individual efforts to raise money for charities by backing donations of our staff.

We have submitted a Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan to Reconciliation Australia, which is in the process of being finalised. Once approved, this plan will support us in developing reconciliation pathways for First Nations people.

Eligible primary carer employees receive 12 weeks paid leave + 6 months superannuation. Nonprimary carers receive 4 weeks paid leave.
Annual Leave
We offer 23 days of annual leave, (20 standard days, plus three extra days of your choice) or pro-rata equivalent.
Purchase Leave
Eligible employees can purchase up to four weeks additional leave annually.
Loyalty Bonuses
We celebrate employee loyalty with a $1500 gift card on their five-year anniversary, and a $4000 gift card on their ten-year anniversary.
Bonuses
Our financial recognition program recognises & rewards individual performances of employees who have contributed to company goals or have exceeded performance objectives. Discretionary bonuses are paid bi-annually following performance reviews.
Employee Assistance Program
To support our employees and families during times of need, we offer a complimentary employee assistance program that provides immediate confidential counselling support & advice and training opportunities. The EAP also offers networking opportunities, training & well-being initiatives.
Flu Shots & Skin Checks
We provide the option for all employees to receive a free flu-shot and skin check annually.

Sarah EvansWe are currently developing a summer intern and graduate program with an expected launch Summer of 2023-2024. Students will need to be in their final year or penultimate year to apply as a summer intern or to our graduate program.
You’ll contribute from day one by working on real projects that impact our business. You’ll be mentored by a senior project manager or project director who will assist you in developing your technical and soft skills.

Applications for our 2024 Graduate Program and Summer Intern Program will open in late 2023.
You’ll need to be in your final year or penultimate year to apply as a summer intern or to our graduate program.
We are looking for graduates in their penultimate year, who have great problem-solving skills, show initiative, and are eager to contribute to the success of our projects.
We will be taking graduate and summer intern placements in Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
To apply, you must be an Australian citizen or Australian permanent resident, at the time of your application. This includes New Zealand citizens already residing in Australia.
