Adeney Private Hospital, located at the corner of Cotham Road and Adeney Avenue in Kew, is Australia’s first gap-free short-stay hospital. Developed by Centuria, the hospital will provide specialised day surgeries and procedures with a focus on best-in-class clinical care. Key features include four operating theatres, a chemotherapy infusion centre, and 30 overnight beds.

The project’s goal is to deliver a world-class short-stay hospital focusing on exceptional patient care and clinical outcomes. Objectives include managing complex stakeholder relationships across three states, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining high standards of clinical infrastructure to support a wide range of medical specialties.

Essence provided project management services through the Design and Tender phases, including the appointment of Hansen Yuncken as the Design & Construct Contractor. Essence also managed the demolition and enabling works packages, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and alignment with the hospital’s operational needs.
