The Sofitel Sydney’s $60 million refurbishment redefines luxury by marrying mid-century elegance with contemporary sophistication. The transformation enhances all 436 guest rooms, public spaces, and lounges, highlighting the hotel’s iconic “jet-set” glamour through refined lighting, custom detailing, and premium amenities.
The revitalised Level 5 rooftop terrace, designed by H+E, features stylish seating, lush greenery, and a striking copper canopy, creating a versatile venue enhanced by wind studies for year-round functionality. New dining experiences by Housemade Hospitality include Tilda, offering nostalgic Australian cuisine, and Delta Rue, a French-Vietnamese fusion restaurant with stunning city views.
As Project Manager and Superintendent, Essence has been instrumental in this transformation, collaborating with Buildcorp Interiors, Fender Katsalidis, and Reward Group from inception in 2016 to completion in 2024.
