Essence has been engaged as the project manager for the proposed redevelopment and repositioning of St Collins Lane.

Our role includes assisting with the project’s feasibility, consultant engagement, design management, contractor procurement, construction management, commissioning & handover. The project consists of the following elements:

  • Repositioning of selected tenancy shopfronts to increase the overall NLA
  • Relocation of the existing food hall to the lower ground
  • Introduction of a new co-working /commercial office space
  • A complete reconfiguration of the vertical transport to improve sight lines and access to all areas of the centre
  • An upgrade of the interior design to better represent the target market.

The project has several challenges to overcome as part of its successful delivery, including trading tenants throughout the redevelopment, a high-traffic CBD location with limited access for loading, and an operating hotel above.

Essence is providing full project management services including assistance with the feasibility of the project, consultant engagement, design management, contractor procurement, construction management, commissioning and handover.
