Our History
Our story began in 2016. James Joy and David Nicholas took the leap of faith and commenced operations in Sydney as Essence Project Management.
They believe by doing the right thing for people, clients, communities and the planet, they are also doing the best thing for their business.
Their vision was to build a project management consultancy that reflected these values and since their humble beginnings, the company has established offices in Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne, and has active projects in most major states and territories.

Essence is guided by a Board made up of executives and independent non-executives who provide guidance and support in the deployment of Essence’s strategy and policies, and the achievement of its objectives and results.
