During this period of global stress and uncertainty, Essence has plans in place to ensure business continuity and continued service to our clients. At Essence, we intend to proceed as usual with modifications.

Essence has put in place an incident response plan dealing with the risk posed by COVID-19 to our staff, clients, visitors and other people we encounter in our national operations. Our fundamental objectives are to achieve the following:

     1.  Protect the health and welfare of each of our people and those we
          come in contact with in our operations;
     2.  Minimising our impact on the community (social distancing); and
     3.  Continue to effectively and efficiently service our clients and projects.

For those of you working with us, this is how we will endeavour to prevent and manage the impact of COVID-19 on our operations.

Essence prides itself on being a flexible and nimble organisation. All our staff are very well equipped to work remotely. At Essence, our systems and services are fully cloud-based allowing maximum flexibility to work remotely. To facilitate external meetings (especially with clients and stakeholders), we use Zoom Conferencing. This simple tool offers video-conferencing, web-conferencing and screen sharing. It has telephone, internet and mobile-device access. Equally, we understand that clients use other technologies. We are familiar with other collaboration tools and can work in with our client systems as required. If not already done, your Essence Project Director will be in touch to discuss how we can work together most efficiently for the benefit of your project.

All our other business support systems are fully accessible remotely.

We will avoid all interstate or overseas travel via any means of transport.

While our office is currently open (to staff only), we are encouraging staff to work from home, enacting social distancing measures and discouraging non-essential face to face meetings. If you have travelled recently or are feeling ill, please meet with staff via video conferencing

As the COVID-19 situation evolves, Essence will continue to monitor updates from Australian health authorities and respond accordingly with modified procedures.

We will continue to respond to our client’s needs in a nimble, flexible, supportive and responsive way.
